The Center for Criminological Research Saxony e. V. (ZKFS) was highlighted among the twelve selected institutions in the university competition of the Science Year 2024 on the topic of “Freedom”. The research project “Freedom and Deprivation of Liberty” will now be implemented until the end of the year with prize money of 10,000 euros, awarded by the organization “Wissenschaft im Dialog”. The project is being coordinated by Anika Radewald and Dr. Aaron Bielejewski. It involves interviews with prisoners in prisons in Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig, the content of which is acted out by actors. The aim is to explore the attitudes and understanding of freedom among prisoners.
